Professional Barbour Waxing

Our waxing service is performed exclusively with original Barbour wax, meticulously following the traditional procedure, the same as found in the historical 1980s jar "Directions."

Manual waxing allows for the regeneration of the fabric, restoration of the garment's protection, and improvement of its water resistance, giving the jacket a well-maintained and authentic appearance.

Before waxing, the garment undergoes traditional cleaning with a damp cloth, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

We would like to emphasize that we do not rely on any industrial laboratory; waxing is done by hand.

Complete Service: Washing + Waxing

An important clarification about washing: Barbour does not recommend washing waxed jackets, as any washing can compromise the wax's hold, reducing waterproofing, protection, and longevity.

For this reason, the correct treatment usually involves only traditional cleaning with a damp cloth, followed by waxing.

However, in particularly delicate or "desperate" cases, such as deep dirt, persistent bad odors, or the presence of mold, washing may become unavoidable to salvage the garment.

For these situations, we have created a complete service, consisting of washing + waxing, designed according to the severity of the case:

• Dry cleaning, recommended for mild cases, such as excessive dirt or strong odors.
• Wet washing, reserved for more severe cases, such as the presence of mold.

Each intervention is always evaluated with the utmost care, trying to preserve the original characteristics of the jacket as much as possible.

⚠️ It should be noted, however, that if the fabric is weakened by time, wear, or inadequate storage/maintenance, we cannot assume any responsibility should holes, tears, snags, or fabric failures occur after washing.

Furthermore, we do not recommend washing Barbours from before 2010, especially those with certain labels:

‎Over the years, cotton fabric naturally loses its strength. During the post-wash restoration process, applying hot wax might penetrate deeper into the fibers and result in stains on the inner lining.

Barbour Repair Service

In addition to waxing and the complete service, we also offer a repair and restoration service dedicated to Barbour jackets.

We intervene, where possible, on damages caused by wear, time, or minor accidents, evaluating the most suitable solution on a case-by-case basis.

The cost of the service is by personalized quote only: to correctly evaluate the intervention, we ask you to send us some photos of the damage. After evaluation, you will receive a detailed, no-obligation quote.

How does it work?

1. You send us your jacket.
2. We carefully evaluate it and subject it to the most suitable treatment: traditional cleaning with a damp cloth, manual waxing, eventual washing and/or repair.
3. We return it to you regenerated, protected, and ready to accompany you for many more years.
