Return and Exchange Policy

Our online store offers an easy return policy for all our customers

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it, with the original packaging perfectly intact.

What is the right of withdrawal and when can you exercise it?

The right of withdrawal only applies if you are a consumer. In this case, you have the right to return the package without any penalty and without the obligation to specify a reason, within a period of 14 calendar days from the date of receipt of the purchased products. It is also called the “right of reconsideration,” precisely because it gives you the opportunity to go back on your decision and cancel the purchase, with the only cost being that related to the return of the product.

If you have purchased a gift voucher, the right of withdrawal starts from the moment of the voucher purchase and lapses if you or someone else uses it before 14 days have passed. 

If you make a product purchase using a gift voucher, the 14-day period begins from the delivery of the products purchased using the voucher. In case of withdrawal, you are entitled to have the voucher reinstated and any difference paid refunded. However, you cannot claim a cash refund for the full price of the goods.

If your order includes more than one product, the 14-day period begins from the delivery of the last item. In any case, you can also withdraw for only one of them.

How can you exercise the right of withdrawal?

To exercise the right of withdrawal, access your account and select the relevant order or you can send a communication via e-mail to info@thevintagelounge.it. The communication must contain the order references and your full name if you are the account holder, in order to allow us to carry out the necessary checks. You can use the following form:

Who is responsible for returning the product?

The return is your responsibility and you must do so within 14 days. 

Responsibility for what happens during shipping (damage, theft, loss, etc.) is yours until we receive the returned product. If the item is damaged during transport, we will inform you within 5 days of its receipt, to allow you to promptly report it to the courier and obtain a refund of the value of the item (if insured). In this event, the product will be made available to you for collection at your expense and the request for withdrawal will be canceled.

The costs of returning the products are at your expense, unless otherwise indicated in the special conditions.

You must return the goods intact, in their original packaging, complete in all their parts (including packaging and any documentation and accessories). We also ask you to place the original packaging inside another box, so as not to damage it during shipping. 

How will you be refunded?

You will only be liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. Subject to the right to verify compliance with the above, we will refund you within 14 days of the return, using the same payment method you chose during the purchase.

If you return damaged goods, we may charge you for any diminished value. In the event that the damage is such as to invalidate the right of withdrawal, you will not receive any refund. The product will remain at our premises and you can collect it at your expense. In any case, we will inform you within 5 days of receiving the returned product.

In what cases does the right of withdrawal not apply?

As established by the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply in certain cases, including:

• sale contracts for gift vouchers that have been used before the 14-day withdrawal period has expired;
• supply of goods made to specification or clearly personalized;
• supply of goods which, after delivery, are, by their nature, inseparably mixed with other items etc.

*Communication regarding returns from Switzerland: Please note that customs costs associated with returns are entirely borne by the customer. In the event that these costs are advanced by our company, the corresponding amount will be deducted from the refund.

What is the legal guarantee?

The legal guarantee is reserved for consumers. If you have purchased as a professional, the normal guarantees provided by the civil code for sales contracts will apply.

The legal guarantee implies our responsibility for any lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery of the product. Since our site only sells used second-hand goods, the legal guarantee covers defects that manifest within 1 year of delivery.
