First Japanese pressing from 1979 of Communiqué, catalog RJ-7588, released by Vertigo / Nippon Phonogram and complete with the original ¥2,500 OBI. The vinyl shows a distinctive amber translucency visible when held up to the light (a characteristic attributable to a very pure polymer).

The OBI evokes the Bahamas with the phrase "Communiqué from the Bahamas", referring to the recordings made at Compass Point Studios in Nassau.

The second album by Dire Straits, produced by Jerry Wexler and Barry Beckett, continues the band's rock and blues journey, featuring Mark Knopfler's characteristic guitar. It includes “Lady Writer”, “Once Upon a Time in the West” and “Where Do You Think You’re Going?”.

Includes:

  • Japanese fold-out insert/lyrics
  • Original inner sleeve with band photos (OIS)

Condition:

  • Vinyl: NM
  • Sleeve: NM
  • OBI: EX
